The high school football season opened Friday night and it was a rough start for Grenada. The Chargers led 12-nothing after one quarter at Oxford, but wound up on the losing end of a 28 to 22 score. Grenada’s next game will be at home against Kosciusko on August 31st.
Kirk Academy was at home Friday night and also had a big first quarter, jumping out to a 21 to nothing lead and rolling to a 35 to 7 victory over West Memphis Christian. The Raiders will play next Friday night at Magnolia Heights in Senatobia.
